Mentors are a critical part of what makes VentureSpur work. VentureSpur recruits mentors who are successful entrepreneurs, who have built substantial companies, and who can share real-world, hands-on experience with our startups.
Many of our mentors are business partners or investors in the accelerator, but all mentors work with companies pro bono. They share their knowledge and guidance freely, and open their address books when appropriate. Mentors are what make VentureSpur unique and directly contribute to the success of the companies.
Becoming a mentor in Venture Spur has numerous benefits. First, you are contributing to entrepreneurship and innovation in Dallas. Second, you have significant impact on the development of the companies that are selected by VentureSpur, and an opportunity to get to know the companies and their founder’s first-hand, making it a perfect role for future investors and those wanting to be aware of emerging companies in the state.
